Ok let’s talk about the word that.

That| used to indicate a person, thing idea, state, event, time, remark, etc…

as pointed out or present, mentioned before, supposed to be understood, or by way of emphasis.

Yes, I learn grammar, ok no, I found this in the internet.

  1. The word “that” I have thought of for a bit…

    Think about this: Much of our language comes from old English. An old English phrase is “the latter”.

    Notice how much they sound alike!!

    The other thing is they mean the same thing- basically, “the thing I was talking about before”.

    So “that” might be slang! 😀
